Joel Dragoo, DDS
Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Dragoo
Dr. Joel Dragoo was born and raised in a small town in Northeast Indiana called Ligonier. It was here that his interest in dentistry began from his father, a local general dentist.
Dr. Dragoo attended Butler University and received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry in 2003. After college, he went on to Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2007. Following dental school, Dr. Dragoo then went on to pursue a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University Hospital in Newark, NJ. It was there that he received extensive training in Oral and maxillofacial surgery, including but not limited to facial trauma, oral pathology, anesthesia, cosmetics, dental implants, dental extractions, and orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Dragoo is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of the dental community and its organizations, including American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, West Central Dental Society, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Indiana Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
“I am blessed to return home and be in a profession where I can help people. I only hope to continue growing as a person and a surgeon while serving my community” says Dr. Joel Dragoo. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing basketball. He resides in West Lafayette with his wife, Oriana and his son, Elliot.
